How unpredictable is your schedule and hours in IA/risk? Some folks in FDD have mentioned unpredictability is part of the job and that they can't really schedule vacation time but was wondering if that's the case for this group too.

I think IA/risk is generally pretty predictable when the busy times will be

After 3 years, my schedule is very predictable and I take the same 6-8 weeks off each year. I also do all the planning so I can set myself up for success and I escalate timely so I can use my weeks

This is the way to do it. Over utilization is bad.

Hello folks,

I am new to fishbowl and recently got an offer from Publicis Sapient for a senior associate. They are offering $136k with unlimited pto benefits. As I am from the industry and haven't heard about this company before, I would like some comments or thoughts about working for this company? How do they invest in their employees (like pay raise, promotions, etc)?

Have an interesting scenario. Holiday party season is approaching. At one of our parties (during working hours) there is an optional “talent show.” Employees can win door prizes. We have an entry that is a religious song - like one you would sing in church. I assume we need to let this employee perform this - or we are setting ourselves up for trouble. Likewise, if we permit this song, I assume we cannot compel attendance to the talent show. The talent show is part of a lunch thing.

So I had 3 deals scheduled to either close end of May or mid June which were all pushed to end of June/beginning of July. Which is when I have my first vacation planned for over a year (I take 0 time off). My whole family is flying up and we’re renting a cabin near me. What do I do? I’m running one of the deals, semi running the other one and not doing much leading on the other one. Note: I was supposed to not be running any of these. Do I find a back up first or tell the partners first?
