How did you know they were middle class?
Nah they looked like my parents and I am middle class.
It's one rep at a massive company. Unpopular opinion but a random employee at a massive Corporation doesn't reflect anything.
So why do you think that you’re able to judge their class better than the gate agent? You sound ignorant.
Which airport? Can’t imagine something like this happening out of SFO. My dad flies biz all the time and dresses like he is going hiking everyday (Patagonia, jeans, Merrells)
KPMG1 I see your point, outward appearance do not reflect true status and I don’t even care about that, drawing attention to the fact that AA rep assumed they couldn’t be on first class and I’ll treated them.
I'm always conflicted when I see stuff like this. On one hand, the airline employees are usually good at recognizing when they need to announce that something is only for certain or higher-fare groups, as I have noticed signs myself over years of flying. On the other hand, I have been annoyed by how often people see me, attempt to inform me about these kind of things, and then are shocked that a black guy like me is flying first class, or has lounge access or whatever else.
