They would never ask me to send an email because when I call I say “hey Dave, I wanted to ask if I could send you a video I recorded covering a/b/c?” When they say yes (as they always do) then I say “cool, I’ll send it over shortly, but if you see even 1% value, could you connect me to your x/y/z team?” They say yes and I say “great, so I’ll send it over and I’ll call you again next week to unpack it all”
Works like a charm
SE1, I love your approach with videos. Do you mind sharing an example as well if I DM you? I would really appreciate it :)
That right there is an objection. It’s a way for them to get you out of the way.
You can send an email saying something like:
“Thank you so much for your time early in the phone, following up with you request on sending you an email, I want to make sure you receive relevant content that makes sense for you. Is there anything in particular you are more interested about?”
Have a great rest of your day.
Something like this. And then any answer use it as a pain point
I try not to push for the meeting right away. I just try to uncover issues that my product can solve and then go from there.
Reply with: “Of course, I’m happy to do that? To make sure I get relative information to you, do you mind if I ask a few questions?” During this time, keep your voice casual.
Then have 2-3 solid but brief questions to give you more insight & hook them. This will give a better shot of them reading your email & it opens up the conversation,
“What do I need to put in that email line to get your attention?”
Pivot
“What’s one problem you’re having right now with XYZ”
“How are you solving XYZ”
The second question you’ll have to tailor to yourself
