HR and leadership denied my request for our company’s cell phone reimbursement ($60, but it’s still something) because they came to a conclusion that those who aren’t directors don’t use their phone enough for work purposes to warrant it. My friend received two job offers for Account Executive roles: a Mid-Market role with Confluent and an Enterprise role with ThoughtSpot. He’s conflicted because Confluent is a more established company, ThoughtSpot is Pre-IPO. Confluent is a lucrative product to sell and has established SDR reps so there’s a good blend of inbound and outbound sales.
