LOVE that you're volunteering/interning with the senior Dr. THat will be a great opportunity to get some experience and guidance! I would do that prior to going for a masters. You def don't need one for lots of healthcare leadership roles. You might even eventually land a role that would pay for it. I'd wait to really assess whether it's worth the investment of time and money depending on the trajectory of what area of healthcare leadership/admin you want to get into.
That’s the thing thatmakes me want to hold off on going for my MBA.I’ve worked in the medical field for 17 years. Before becoming a tech I worked in the float pool as a medical assistant. So I am well rounded in every dept. So that’s why I took the initiative to be a volunteer so I can gain the experience. I am really not sure what area of administration I would want to be in though. I just want to continue to climb the ladder. Just afraid that it’s very cut throat.

Why are you getting a degree in allied health ? I don’t know what this actually is and how it can support you
It will support me as far as being eligible for a position as a manager. Getting my MBA would be to transition into Administration. My specialty is an associate degree.
