Hello Mastercard employees. I have been trying to break into MC for long now.
I have 2 yrs workex post MBA. I have experience in data analysis and consulting. But I don't want to get into consulting anymore. I am looking for analytics roles. Anyone here would be able to DM and guide me on the available options at Mastercard?

there’s no shame in a day job, you’re not a loser or a failure of an artist!
Day jobs give you the stability to focus on art you actually want to make, not just art that will sell in the moment so you can survive. I was a freelance illustrator for 3 years before getting a day job, and I was so burnt out on shilling out my art skills / taking projects just so I could eat that I really started to hate illustrating at all.
I feel your stress, but have no regrets! Take your time, take the money, develop your art on your terms.
Tbh I don’t really try to motivate myself anymore - I have found that I’ll be super productive and have a strong drive to work on my own artwork for a month or so, and then I need a month or so off.
I used to really force myself to continue driving at it when I wasn’t feeling it, and all the tricks in the book - like time boxing or getting up early or working on weekends or carrying a sketchbook everywhere you go - never worked for me if I wasn’t in the mood. It just made me frustrated.
So just seeing my own rhythms of creativity and working within that helps a lot.
I’d rather make a ton of stuff I’m excited about a few times per year than have a constant dull frustrating output every day, as demanded by social algorithms.
I hope that’s helpful 😬
