McKinsey & Company Hi all! Any fishes at BCG and/or McK have time to chat sometime within the next few days/weeks?
I’m a consulting analyst at Accenture, really interested in strategy work (mainly tech/software clients but open to all backgrounds) hoping to make the jump some time next year. I’d very much appreciate connecting to understand your journey with the firms and the work you do.
Thanks in advance, and happy holidays!

$99k at current cohort band - rumors that could increase by 3-5% though for market competitiveness.
Also looking to go from Director to Partner would like to know compensation package.
Thanks PwC 1 that gives me some idea...are you aware if there is a salary structure document or something on kcurve that i can look into?
Pwc1 I have a friend at sa2 whose package is 133k...is there such a wide gap between sa1 and sa2?
Idk why you're using the terminology "package"...Are you really just asking about base salary? For it to be a true compensation package, it would need to include base in addition to bonus (varies based on performance) and retention bonus (not given for SA promotion). The figure I stated is salary (non-MBA), where MBA SA1is around ~$135k base. The gap lies at your misunderstanding of what a compensation package means, or your friend is in a very niche cohort outside the norm/maybe has an MBA
PwC 1 yes I meant the base salary. Well, both me and my friend are in the Cyber practice (advisory). I have a master's degree in cybersecurity too. The base for sa1 with an MS would be close to that for an MBA?
Ahh gotcha OP - the cyber part helps in understanding and should've added that context up front. With the new One Cyber initiative, and push in pay to reduce attrition recently, I would assume that competency cohort is close to MBA, maybe ~$10kish less? Just my guess, not exactly sure.
