I am one one of those laid off from Deloitte on H1-b (stamped) visa. My question is, if I join a consultancy and initiate H1-b transfer with them, then in one month I find full time job outside. Can the consultancy stop me from joining the full time role? I have heard couple of instances where consultancies not releasing the i797 approval document. If the consultancy does not release my i797, can my transfer process with the full time job happen? Please help - I have 40 days left to find new job
