I am so grateful today. I was laid off a few years ago and was trying to get into I-banking. I was on an h-1 visa. The market was slow, and PwC hired me instead. In consulting, I have had rapid growth and c-suite interaction. I have a Green Card now. Sometimes things work out for the best.

Quit my cushy job a few months ago because I was totally burnt out and mental health was shot. Thinking about quitting this industry all together - anyone else go through similar? Any advice? Thanks!

- My company has agreed to send me to their London office for a year (haven't yet filed application).
- OPT ends in late June, so I can stay till mid-late August (grace period).

Question:
Should I just move to London as soon as I'm able to, or is it worth waiting until the end of my OPT in August in case they do a second round of the H1B lottery?

Although, I am happy with my current position as a respiratory therapist, there seems to be not a lot career growth with where the department I currently work in within my healthcare system. I work for a late stage(ipo) start up, earlier this year we were acquired & since then they got rid of our yearly bonuses and gave us an ESOP grant.
2 RIFs later we are almost bare bones. Since we are coming up on our usual yearly evaluations many of us assumed (with multiple conversation from our managers) that pay raises and promotions were due.
In a recent All hands we found out that this year there will be no pay raises nor promotions based off merit. Is it time to jump ship?
