I am currently a charge nurse and am in a “Pathway to Leadership Program” that will come with promotions into leadership/administration. I am concerned that going through the leadership ladder will lead to a lot of politics.

I am thinking of getting a masters of healthcare informatics, and would love input from people in both industries and any advice you have!

Would you continue into the nursing leadership ladder or go into health informatics (which also has leadership!)?

Why do we have social security? Isn’t it just a giant pension fund for the nation that is woefully underfunded? Couldn’t we just get rid of it and have poverty alleviation programs for the elderly instead?

I have a senior director who needs a PIP. Plan was to meet w him today to start phase I (formal Learning Plan). Got a Teams msg middle of the night that he's in ER w gma. Ordinarily, I'd wait a few days at least, but the performance issues are real, have been going on (despite feedback and support) for months, and impact rest of team. He has issues w health, family, etc. at least monthly. I've worked hard to build a warm, supportive team and struggling now. Would appreciate ideas!

At a loss of how to cope—I really dislike my job to the point of declining mental health. Yet, it’s not stressful, my boss is amazing, but it’s not at all what I enjoy doing.
