I applied for a position recently at a major retail financial company. I had three interviews and now I’ve been ghosted by the entire hiring team. No notice saying they are still in the interview process and no rejection letter. I have no idea why the company would do this. Any advice for how to cope?

Since that day, there is no communication from HR team of Wipro . I tired of sending multiple emails and when I tried to call he always declines my call.

Previously interviewed for position at Deloitte but did not receive offer after final round. I’ve applied for other Deloitte positions following the rejection but now each time during the initial phone screening, the recruiter asks for the name of who helped me throughout the recruiting process for the role I did not receive an offer for. I have been offered a position in-house at a $500M-$1B company, mid-sized city LCOL, 10 YOE in private practice. They offered me $120k, w opp for undefined discretionary bonus. No paid parental leave or 401(k) match & only 1 week PTO in first year (but claim they have discretion for more). Is there any way to salvage this? Salary guides suggest TC should be around $200-215k. I want to get my foot in the door but this seems crazy low.

In my early 40s. Never had a chance to practice FIRE because of many family responsibilities (parents, siblings, etc). Never a big spender though but saving only about $1000 a month despite $200k+ pay.

Current asset:
Houses - close to paid off
401k - $200k
Investment - $50k
No other debt left

Going to have about $100k extra post tax income. What are the best way to start FIRE assuming I won’t increase my spending? And what’s a realistic target to retire at this point?
