My resume got shortlisted for Operations Associate/Engineer-Amazon Managed Services role. I am an experienced AWS engineer with 5YOE.I feel like this role will be degrading in nature for me. Is it worth joining for this position. I would love to join Amazon based on my experience and skill set. But Not to some position which doesn't require AWS experience.

My offer from Barclays all those years ago came after a month of radio silence….
Larger companies are crap at communicating
I'm so sorry to hear that and shame on the company for doing so! Don't take it personally, this kind of behavior just shows the lack of respect the hiring team has for other peoples' time and efforts. That being said, the hiring process could be taking an extremely long time, but they should still be answering your emails/messages/etc. about what exactly is going on/taking so long.
When you say ghosted, do you mean that you've followed up and gotten no response? Or that they've just not reached back out to you? I ask, because if you haven't yet followed up, that might be the issue. Keep in mind, too, that this is one of the busiest times of the year for companies - especially in the retail sector. That could be the cause of the delays. If you haven't done so yet, I'd reach out and let them know that you realize this is a crazy time of year, but that you're still very interested in the role and would they mind sharing a status update. If you HAVE done this, and haven't heard back (for at least a few weeks), then I'd shift focus on whatever other opportunities are in your pipeline. Best of luck to you!
I followed-up one week after my first interview and a second follow-up two weeks after. I also sent quick thank you notes to the people I interviewed with :-/
Did you email them after interview or are you waiting on them?
Nevermind…I didn’t read your comment about sending TY notes…nice touch.
So sorry. Drop the company name so that people would be aware as well.
How long ago was it since your last interview? Have you sent them a follow up email yet? Everybody tends to be a lot busier during this time of the year so they're probably catching up with other responsibilities and have not yet had the time to reply to emails. Please don't let it discourage you from getting the job you want. There are plenty of opportunities out there that might be the better fir for you. Don't take it personally.
Sometimes when it's year end, you will be delayed in getting notified due to a number of factors which may include:
1. staffing.... due to vacations and holidays with people off
2. hiring freezes.... due to budgets and overhiring during the year
3. salary approvals....depending on your range of request, it may have to get multiple approvals before an offer can be made.
4. Undecided.....you aren't the "best" candidate but you're still good enough and they're waiting to see if anyone better comes along before doing an offer or denying you
