I don’t tell my spouse how to spend their time or energy. We talk about goals, and I ask “how do I need to support that?” Or “what does that mean we need to change in our routine?” or “Do we need professional help to accomplish that?”

All these posts about spouses telling each other how to look, what to eat, or how to spend their money or time, baffle me. If I told my partner what to do, they’d be resentful and think I was crazy. I would too.

Am I crazy for feeling this way???

Mom of two here (21 month old and 5 month old) who is starting to consider having a third. I am in my late 30’s and my doctor just recommended I start trying at 6 months postpartum. Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Before ending it she came over 3 weeks prior to basically give me a chance to work things out and we had a good discussion but then I went back into our routine and didn’t really fight for it or have serious follow up convos that we needed. I currently have the adjustable stand desk and a relatively comfortable office chair (not when reclining) but the other half of my office is empty.
