My coworker is leaving for another agency. Any recos to create a virtual “handwritten” goodbye card for everyone to sign and write her a goodbye message before she leaves?

Check out Kudo Board, I’ve used it for my team when we had to let folks go 😰. It’s a really cool product, allowing for both SlideShare and PDF poster board. You can even pay to have a physical board ship to them as a momentum.

I second Kudoboard! I used it when my manager left for a new job at another company. I even reached out to old team members to sign. You can add pictures, Gifs, and YouTube videos to your message. We added pictures from team happy hour and the company holiday party. She was totally surprised and cried happy tears.

Why don’t you just let them sadly disappear and don’t say goodbye at all like we do at our agency

uplifting

We’ve useGroupGreeting for bdays/work anniversaries and it’s been great. There’s a share link for everyone to sign and I think you can schedule when it’s sent to the recipient’s inbox

I work with quite a few oldheads in my department, I’d like to know how to convince the higher-ups that we need to evolve our strategies to bring us in line with best current practices. However, I don’t want to act out of line or be disrespectful since this is my first role and I have less than a year here.

What is the advice on what feedback to leave for a peer who really sucks at everything y'all have worked together on? It's about the time where everyone on my team requests feedback from each other and I'm nervous for it coming up. My manager knows that everything I've worked w her on I end up doing 90% of the work when it's meant to be split so it is a known issue. We're both at level 3 so are genuinely peers. She seems like a nice person but i have 0 positive work feedback tbh

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

Repost - The % of the African American population killed by police in 2019 is roughly 0.0005%. It was 235 people. But around the same year 6,000 african americans were killed by eachother. How do we reconcile these facts? In 2013, 72% of african americans were born to single parent households; one of the strongest indicators of future poverty and criminal disposition. Can we acknowledge and fix instances of police brutality while also not ignoring our cultural problems as well?
