OP: i feel behind in life since I make 65K. how much did you make?
Person: I made 50K
OP: oh great, so I'm at least in front of you. Self-esteem repaired.
Bruh, you feel behind? With this post, all you're doing is looking for someone else to stand in front of. Find some worth within yourself. Only compete with your future self and your needs. Make money to fund the lifestyle you want, not to compare to others
This post is gold!!!
I was making around 20 at that age. Unbelievable
Like $10/hr... LOL
Change your mindset, OP.
Same. $10.90 p/h.
I was making 65k and have stagnated to 83k currently. I am a way more behind than you. 29
45k
£8500 as a trainee solicitor. Would suggest you are doing very well!
23yo - 115k
Im 23 and I currently make roughly 41k moving to a new job that makes 51k
Lmao tired at 23!? Come on. Truthfully I was still finishing up school and working part-time at that age. Wasn’t worried about much.
At 23 I was at around 15k EUR while studying. At 28 I'm at 55k EUR. You are way better than me!
17k , you have much more time ahead of u. Be patient
At 23 I was working at a nail salon making $140 / day lmao 😂 and I worked 10+ hours
I made $40,000. In 2002
52k now at 28 making 174k

Took me too long to understand what this is supposed to say 🫠
I made 43k after doing an unpaid internship I had to commute two hours downtown to…

About 30-35K, working temp jobs to scrape by and pay bills
I was 32 making 65K married with 2 kids, you’re further ahead than you think. Stay positive and don’t get discouraged 😊

I was in real estate, flipping houses at 23 making about 60k a month. But why are you comparing yourself to others? Your salary is good for a W2 employed 23 year old in today’s job market and economic climate. I know 23 year olds making 40k. Be grateful. With layoffs you could be making zero tomorrow.
Definitely don’t compare yourself . Times have changed . Most ppl weren’t making half of that at 23, not to mention if you live in the Midwest !
At 23 I was in law school racking up insane debt while working an unpaid internship. You’re good.
I feel this in my soul. I’m 25 making about 50k USD, my partner is 24 and making almost triple that. At 23 I was making 42k, then took a pay cut to 39.5k. I’ve learned recently that most people in my direct line of work make more than me.
To shorten my point, if you come from a “rough” background (speaking in terms of poverty, gov assistance, etc.) and seen your parents/guardians struggle financially it’s almost like you can’t ever make enough money.
It’s not selfish, you’re not being greedy for wanting to make sure you’re taken care of. Don’t let others put you down for that. Just remember though, money comes and goes. Don’t miss opportunities just for more financial gain.
