Dear Fishes, I am in a conundrum currently. I have two offers. One from Deloitte USI (17.5 LPA fixed, 1.75 LPA variable and 1.5 L joining bonus). The other is from Infosys (25 LPA CTC. Permanent WFH. Negotiation is still on for this.)
Could you please be so kind as to help me decide which one to choose?
Thanks in advance,
Fellow Perplexed Fish.

Hello! Question for anyone that works at Google if I have hit my 3 applications per 90 days can I still apply to an additional role through a referral link? Or will I have to wait until the 90 days is up? Actually asking for a friend that doesn’t have this app 😊 thanks in advance for any insight.

I’m assuming as a director, you get paid well enough to hire daycare.
Daycare is not an option at this point. It’s not about money, there are some personal reasons which will hinder daycare/nanny.
If you went into an office for work, you would have to hire someone to take care of your kids, right? So do the same here. Just because you don’t leave the house doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t also have someone care for your kids while you work.
I do this and I don’t have kids. I sit through meetings then chill and watch Netflix or play video games or do what I want.
Why should I do more than I have too? I have zero incentive
Get a second job 💸
I agree with the notion of getting some help? I can't imagine have two kids under 2, while trying to pay full attention to my work.
I was in the same boat, we hired a part time nanny. Best decision we made, the peace of mind is great!

Is childcare not an option? Maybe a nanny share, even part time?
Is your job flexible enough to be to work while they're asleep? Either at night, or perhaps keep them up later and enforce long naps (it's the total # of hrs sleep per 24hrs that's critical)
Yea, I think that helps

Echoing the others about childcare, but also...I mean if it's not truly impacting your work, does it matter? I think most people tend to work (realistically) like 4-5 hours a day anyway of "true" producitivity
Are you still able to do satisfactory work? Have you gotten any negative feedback? If not, I would just continue on with trying my best. I'm sure some of your colleagues put in the same level of work without having kids.
Even if there are health issues, you can DM for advice. I have navigated this. You can cut back to 1/2 time or get help.
Thank you. Will do
Yes. We had to bite the dust and hire a nanny. It has helped so much to have someone to distract the kids. I was feeling exactly how you are.
I understand exactly how you are feeling. This is how I feel as well. I feel like we are alll just doing the best we can at this point.
I’m not doing the best I can, on purpose. I make it look like I am though. Saves me a lot of unnecessary stress
Does your company rate your performance regularly? If there is data showing that your performance has been dismal because of the setup then maybe the kids have become a factor. But if you feel like you're not doing well, them maybe get a nanny
