I finally took 2 days of PTO that wasn't a sick day or a mental health break from being overwhelmed. I completely disconnected and honestly it made such a huge difference in my personal life. Stuff got done around the house, I wasn't as anxious or stress about every little thing. It really put into perspective of what's actually important to me.

Highly recommend taking a real break.

I have our first vacation coming up since adopting a puppy and I’m feeling really nervous and sad. We found a wonderful couple who boards dogs and she will be with humans and other dogs 24/7, so I don’t think she will be lonely but I keep thinking what if she thinks we abandoned her? Any fellow attorneys out here with any chronic conditions? I suffer from chronic migraines and that is under control, but have been suffering from chronic fatigue. It can be very depressing and lonely. Work makes it worse since some days I move slower and my brain is slower. Hoping I'm not the only one. Currently planted on the couch w fatigue.

I’m traveling again for work and while it took me a while to get back into it, I’m almost as efficient as I was pre-Covid. My issue is that when I get home, I am exhausted. It feels like it takes me a day to recover from any travel that is more than an overnight trip. I know travel disrupts sleep and I eat heavier food when I’m on the road, so I’m watching that, but any other tips to not come home feeling like a shell? Or how to bounce back faster?

I can’t function. I don’t have energy to do the smallest things. All I want to do is sleep. I don’t have to feel pain or deal with life when I sleep. I left my job because of this. I have a history of clinical depression and this is the worst episode I’ve ever experienced. I made an appointment with a therapist and to get on meds.
