I had an opposing counsel send me a rude correspondence in which he “didn’t understand why this is so hard” and essentially called me a liar. After speaking with a colleague I decided to “take the high road” and only address the case at hand.

It’s a day later and I’m feeling like it was weak to take the high road. Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so, how’d you deal?

I work for a specialized group in my litigation group and have had a wonderful experience and really respect and appreciate my boss, the co-chair of this specialized group. Should you discuss salary range with an internal company recruiter prior to setting up an interview? With external recruiters it’s pretty easy to talk about the expected range. I am trying to avoid wasting all of our time if i get to the last interview and they are expecting a salary that is too low for me.

What's your typical work day look like? Where do you work/what size firm do you work at?

My work quality is slipping due to brain fog and mental health issues and I don’t know how to address it with my firm or who to go to. I was considered one of the best associates in our practice group, but now it can take me 3-4x the time to write an average brief. I can’t seem to think and organize my thoughts any more.
