Question: do guys like glasses on women?
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

Very sweet but too soon. Might scare him off 😂
What do you get for someone in 10bucks? Like a pastry or something? Get him a doughnut. It’ll be a nice little thing for him to take back home. Lol.

Too soon.
(But buy it and stash it for the 4th or 5th date, lol.)

Asked my husband - he said too soon. I also think way too soon. Wait until you’re exclusive or have been dating for a month at least.
It all depends on your first date and how far you guys got. If the intent was made clear on the first date and you could imagine him doing the same for you without any misunderstanding, go for it!

Yes!! Don’t buy him anything.

Agree with others (37M here). Buy it now, but don't give it until like date 10+.
Unless gifts are his main receiving love language, it will likely come across as too intense. Also, not having a reciprocal gift can be uncomfortable, so avoid until you know him a little better.

A little soon, but I got my ex girlfriend a cat toy for her cat because I was picking her up at her place, so could give it to her cat right away and then she and I could do our own thing.
If it’s random and fits with the moment, go for it!
33M here. It’s sentimental.

For me, first dates tend to go well, but then by the 2nd or 3rd I realize we really don’t have that strong of a connection so I break it off. If I had presented a gift that soon, I would just feel silly, and since it’s not common the guy would most likely find it overwhelming, or start to devalue you based off being too eager after 1 day. I wish it weren’t the case, but seems it is. You clearly have a sweet heart, so don’t change that. Just slow it down a bit and save it for a better time.
Okay why is it too soon for her to buy him a small gift on the second date, but it’s not too soon for men to pay for a meal on the first date?
It’s funny how you automatically assume OP is a she. Lol.

Too soon and can come across as clingy
Nice thought but do not do it. If I received a gift on the 2nd date I’d probably never go out with the guy again

Is it something small and low value like a cupcake? Sure.
Is it something worth more than $10? Nice gesture, but prob hold off a little longer.
Do it - even if it doesn't work out with you 2, he will remember it and will remember you as a special person. You will also set a tone of romance and creativity in your relationship...

Not too soon at all - go for it! If he can’t accept your thoughtfulness and generosity…adiós muchacho.

I think it’s sweet but highly depends on the gift and person. I matched with a guy and during our conversation he asked what my go to gas station snack (he asked a lot of fun random questions). He showed up with it as a gift during our first date. It was so sweet and made a great impression.
But after we chatted in the days after the date he ghosted. Looking back, I would do what others have recommended and wait a few more dates. It’s super sweet, but maybe a little too much.
It will help you figure out if the person is avoidant or not, usually gift giving triggers them. I guess thats worth 10 bucks

What is the object? I’d say it really depends… but without knowing much else, too soon
