I have been having this voice inside of me to switch to sales as my next role. I am confident I can do it in theory; however, I am only terrified of having a number to my head every quarter. If there are any sales hiring managers, what advice would you give so I can deal with the number pressure? What would make me a good candidate and the salary expectations roughly?

I’m one of the top performers in the company and got invited to the company’s emerging leadership program. I always meet all my goals and deliverables on time but still feel like half of the time I’m not even doing anything (or performing my best). How do I leverage this ‘off-time’ into something productive in order to progress faster?
