Hi fellow creatives! I’m looking for any and all kinds of creative people to participate in a research study!
www.creativitystudy.com
I’m a creativity researcher working on my dissertation on the psychology & neuroscience of creativity. I’m interested in understanding how different types of creative careers, side hustles, and artistic outlets relate to our emotions, mental health, & well-being. Ultimately to help build awareness, resources, & improve the lives of creative people.

Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

Say you were impacted by a company wide layoff (or reduction in workforce).
Because AI is putting us all out of a job they can drive wages down and pay peanuts for these positions.
No, this is your opportunity to say that you are looking for something more rather than desperately needing a new job. Keep that to yourself until you no longer have a job or they inquire more.
THIS!
This is a good point. I don't think it's wrong to confirm to the job description, and how much information needs to be disclosed? It's either misery farm or competitive advantage.
Notice period.
Just mention that you are impacting by lay-off and you are in your notice period.
just notice period
TLDR: Speak truth, redundancy isn't a burden on you.
Redundancy often leads to the shedding of organisational units or the closure of projects that do not align with the business's goals.
Being made redundant doesn't necessarily imply being laid off due to performance or behavioral issues. If you think about it, it's a more justifiable reason to release employees than making excuses for other motives.
I think the point of the original post is that his company is making productivity levels his fault, due to corporate overreach invasively personal to behavior. This agenda is often supported by upper management by being able to avoid paying unemployment excess. Obviously justified by keeping the favored in overtime by eliminating unemployment expenses.

Answer honestly, if asked. You were impacted by a reduction in their workforce. It's not a big deal to recruiters. It happens everyday. Be careful not to project insecurities, especially about things you have no control over. Be confident about your skillset and know that when one company doesn't need you anymore, another one does.
State that you are serving a notice period. When the recruiter asks for more details regarding the details of you leaving your current position, that's when you state about the redundancy situation. Never state unless explicitly asked to.
As others have said, an employer you're interviewing with won't be at all bothered to know you're leaving because of redundancy - in fact they'll take a lot of positives from it because redundancy is, by nature, a no-blame concept (redundancy can ONLY mean your role is ceasing to exist, not that you've done anything wrong or are underperforming). So just be up-front about it. And the fact that you're already in your notice period gives you a bonus with regard to availability to join the new company (which may tip the balance if you're neck-and-neck with another candidate and they have a three-month notice period that they're yet to enter).
Make sense
It is not anyones business why you are looking for a new role. If someone asks, tell them you want a new challenge or that you want to work on whatever that prospective new company does.
Until your last day there is no reason to mention your leaving. You are looking for a better opportunity, either money , opportunity etc
No need to say you are serving a layoff notice until they ask.
I was just made aware that after setting up a policy and fixing most of the major SharePoint issues, the company can no longer afford to keep me, due to a workload decrease. I guess I would be saying the same thing.
They will have LEVERAGE because you desperately need a job and is being lay off!
Make your self SCARCE not available!!!!
