Put it down as freelance. Nobody will ask
How long was your first position? I’d leave the second one off, probably. Otherwise, put a placeholder in and say you were on a sabbatical or something
1) be very clear on your resume that you were laid off (I’ll usually say layoff/position eliminated) and 2) be very clear with the recruiter that you were laid off
Layoffs are as common now as changing a shirt; they're meaningless in that lots of agencies like to turnover their staff every 2-3 years. Some untouchables don't ever get let go, but usually it's all about getting rid of salaries (vs being personal). Don't mention it unless you're asked in the interview stage.
Were you fired for performance? Or laid off as part of wider actions?
If the latter, it’s just unlucky. Sounds like it was no fault of yours.

This market is so insane, and this isn’t necessarily unusual (I’m not saying it happens all the time, but given the state of the industry, being laid off repeatedly isn’t unheard of ☹️)
I would be super honest about it, and put on your resume that you were part of layoffs at both places
