I have been offered a position as a motor starting next month. I am thrilled, but my wife is less so. When I told her that I was thinking about putting in for a motor spot, she supported me. But now that the chance is here, she’s less enthusiastic. She’s worried about two things primarily; 1) The risk of an accident, and 2) Me being so much less protected. How have others provided assurance to their spouse that they aren’t crazy for wanting to be a motor? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Is my relationship worth it? Met my SO of 3 years senior year of college. Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Interested in UX but have no experience or much knowledge about it. What kind of roles were you in before you got into UX, how did you get there, did you have to get a certification, and what does your day to day work consist of? Is it more technical, psychological or design based?

I think I may have finally had it.

A couple of decades in this field and now I want to just walk away. The grind in tech is soul-destroying, and the vast majority of the time, coworkers outside of UX have no idea what it is, what it’s for, and how it’s applied.
