What’s bench policy for new hiring??
Yeah, same thing happened with me. and the client rejected me in the interview, not sure why. Now fortunately after 2-3 weeks I got tagged to another project for a different account. I don't understand why can't they conduct client interviews prior to joining. I specifically inquired about this before joining but the recruiters straight away lied.
Because there is no surety nowadays the candidate will join hence company does not take client interview with prospective new joiners
It happened with me as well. I joined 2 years back. Actually they just took you for the client project but we have to give the client interview after joining. Client will not take your interview until you join Wipro.
Generally once people join Wipro, they feel relaxed as they have to understand other things like policy and all and took client interview lightly and that's why rejected in the client interview. Happened with me as well.
I was rejected in the client interview. Then I joined another project after revising all the concepts. After 6 months I was released from that project then I contacted my original client again and said them that I want to join your project. Prepared that time well and selected. Now I am working for that client from last 1.5 years.
What is your tech stack?
If it's showing billable then chill Karo.

Don’t join Wipro
It's a mandatory process now in wipro you need to be able to clear the client round to be able to be billable by them. What the management mentioned could be you have been selected for a specific client as they need a resource of your capability when Wipro has hired you. But to be able to work for that client , you need to prove your worth that you are the suitable candidate for that role.
I think you have to get billable within 45 days else will be on loss of pay .
Don't join you won't get hike after 2 years also
They are running scam they give hike on October then they will say it got delayed and they will give on January or February till then your 2 years would have finished you won't get your 100% variable they will say it's based on company benifits
where is this policy of lop mentioned in policy portal???
i read today two things in their policy portal....first one is max 60 days u can be on bench for b2 band & above , according to them this applies to old wipro employee who just got on bench ....and second one is if you are lateral new joiner you should get your first project max within 180 days....but i pretty sure for lateral new joineers also they are following first one only...60 days one!!

For lateral, initial 6 six month they will not touch u if u hv no project.
After that bench policy is 45 days with pay after that next 45 days on LOP
Am selected from wipro in Coimbatore. Still there's is no offer release. But they told join date is Jan 5th 2026.
