Don’t over think it. 4 billion doses have been given around the world. No big deal. You’re not special. Just get it.
Great point
Spouse and I got vaccinated. Ended up getting COVID anyway, but we’re still happy we got vaccinated because “getting COVID” meant “getting the sniffles for a few days” rather than “getting a life-threatening respiratory infection.”
Do you normally resist getting vaccines? Or did the conspiracy theorists get to you?
ok boomer
Only a gif could convey my expression rn
Ah, the classic "they told me to, so now I don't wanna"
So on the one side is your logical thinking telling you to get it… and the other side you’ve got literally nothing, per your own admission. How are you even questioning this still?
FWIW, I hadn’t done it this whole time either. Also not totally sure why, but I actually just did today. My step-uncle just died from covid and he was the 6th one in his family to die in the past 6 months from covid. I’m not really scared of dying per se, and I already had Covid awhile back and was asymptomatic. My general thought process was “wow how pissed at myself would I be If I was on my deathbed knowing I had decided not to get the vaccine ‘just cause’”
The pros and cons heavily tilt toward getting it. Cons: maybe some chills after the second dose. Pros: not getting covid and the associated possibly severe long term effects
My entire family is vaccinated and I'm glad we are. No side effects to the vaccines. No COVID.
If your argument is that you don’t know the long term side effects…You could get hit by a car and die tomorrow regardless of whether you get the vaccine or not. But you know in the short term that the vaccine is going to prevent you from dying from the virus. Get the vaccine.
Every reputable doctor and public health expert in the world is urging you to get it. The vaccines were tested with thousands of times the normal sample size and are by far some of the most effective vaccines ever produced. Long term effects from vaccines usually show up within the first two weeks of vaccination and there have been no reported significant long term effects. You should get it
You get the flu vaccine and every other required vaccinations as an infant and entering primary school…. So…… those were all created to combat viruses like this one so what’s different now? The benefits far outweigh the incredibly low risks
Part of my practice is vaccine injury law so I know a bit about frequency of vaccine related injuries and people would be surprised to know that the flu vaccine causes probably the most injuries and yet everyone gets that vaccine every year no questions no fuss
Well, I’m an attorney not a health care professional, so no… lol
Also, consider how your unvaccinated status if you caught covid (even if asymptomatic or mild symptoms) could possibly infect a vulnerable friend or loved one who’d suffer much more when it could have been minimized or avoided altogether with the protection of the vaccine
Please be responsible and a model for others. Get the vaccine. Vaccines are how we protect others and ourselves. We will never get out of this pandemic if we keep waffling on the simple actions that will fix it.
Is this evening still a debate? 😤
Reasons not to get the vaccine right now: waiting until a few years to see the collective side effects; exercising the right to make a decision on what enters your body; being a bit skeptical of the sudden public relations rush in every corner, behind every tree and under every rock encouraging (mandating) everyone to get a vaccine
Understood - everyone still has the right to make a choice about vaccination. It is not irrational to decide to wait before getting vaccinated when most other vaccines on the market are released to the public after lengthy multi year long trials, especially in the face of numerous adverse and fatal side effects.
The link below is a report that was released by Pfizer in response to a FOIA request. Page 7 shows that there were over 1200 who experienced a fatal "adverse effect" as a result of receiving the vaccine during the first authorization of the temporary emergency supply of the Pfizer vaccine.
1200 people out of the 42000 who received the vaccines (as stated in this Pfizer report) died (1 out of 39). 1 out of 200 who contract COVID-19 die from the illness.

It’s okay to feel uneasy. I talked to my SO who is a physician and it made me feel better. Is there someone in healthcare (whether your PCP or family/friend) who you can be comfortable discussing your concerns with ? (Ie. Not a conspiracy YouTube video)
It’s the lawyer mind. What is the standard of proof for the vaccine, preponderance of the evidence, beyond a reasonable doubt, cal civ code 3294 “clear and convincing”? What standard are you measuring the vaccine against?
