Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

Def MBB - better for the resume long term.
This is a tricky one. On one hand MBB has a better brand but on the other it you move into a senior role, you can start getting leadership experience which is a good differentiator for adcoms. Based on what I know it’s probably 60/40 MBB/Senior.
Are you targeting any industries in particular

A1 that makes sense. I hear you with the 5-7 years of experience. I do have leadership experience from the military (5~ years plus the last two years in consulting which was not leadership focused in any way). I think the two years could get me into a role with leadership after if I leverage my background but then again it won’t be substantial “business” leadership experience for me to rely on
No brainer, take MBB
Growth rate/brand even with a step back in level will not matter few years down the line
Think of the exit ops you”ll have and chance for M7 (assuming you need to even go post MBB)
It’s easier to position yourself if u have consistency so assuming I already have a fees years of experience, leaving for a different company that isnt a clear upgrade for 2 years or less doesn’t make sense unless u will be gaining specific skills
Everyone will ask u or wonder why u went from MBB to big 4 and if the answer is for a pay bump that doesn’t scream loyalty, which is what companies look for
Nobrainer, MBB.
Not sure about the salary statement you made. MBB TC most likely will be similar or better even a level below than the big 4 titel (unless it‘s the strategy arm, and even there it‘s probably close)
MBB definitely
