I recently joined Accenture - my SO is a PHD student and was on my insurance. The university wants to charge us 3K for their insurance since we can’t provide proof of insurance until the new benefits go through.

New benefits are supposed to be in effect but we enrollment has been delayed because Accenture lost my Domestic Partner tax form and I had to resubmit. The issue should be resolved by Friday but the school is charging us tomorrow without exception - do we have any recourse?

New to the area and I’m looking for good dentist recommendations who doesn’t have excessive prices. My SO came in to an office and they quoted us $800 for deep cleaning after insurance, which is 4x what we paid for deep cleaning at the previous dentist in Houston. They also wanted us to pay upfront before any procedure is done. That seems very sketchy to us, so we’re looking to get second opinion and switch office.
