I recently made the jump from advertising agency designer to an in-house designer for a tech company… I just cannot believe how much more chill this new job is. I’d been in agency land for about 6 years and I’m just so happy I got to make the switch. My stress levels have plummeted. I didn’t realize how incredibly burnt out I was in Ad Land. Any other fellow former ad peeps now working in tech? What surprised you most about making the switch?

Anyone have a CFE designation and taken the test recently? Debating about getting it wasn’t sure if it’s worth it.

Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with. The work seems like it’s not a good fit for me but it feels crazy to pass up trying to get that amount of money when there really isn’t a realistic alternative to that amount of wealth (and I do want that amount of wealth).

currently tossing up between staying at a global company (who is in the process of some positive changes) with an amazing manager who supports my career and flexible working … however comes with the inherit issues that come with a long standing global company

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover

Fellow introverts...can I only advance in my career if I take on a leadership role? The thought of this terrifies me.
