I saw a video of a lawyer saying if you have some medical diagnosis that may effect work or require accomodations to go ahead and declare it so that when something happens your employer cannot pretend they didn't know

I have a spinal condition which will progress over time. I have nerve conditions too. I've already done things to make my work environment more accommodating out of my own pocket and I don't foree accommodation needs.

Would you proactively share? Or wait until necessary?

If it's a prospective employer, I wouldn't disclose simply because they are not meant to discriminate but most of them do. As for your employer, disclosure is supposed to come with some accommodations and protection from discrimination, so it should be in your best interests to share the information. You have to do what feels right for you.

like

Wait until necessary. I would also disclose it in writing when you eventually do.

like

Agree that it is kind of a double edged sword. You run the risk of being discriminated against, and proving that can be incredibly difficult. However not saying anything can lead to issues once you get in there and do need to now get it documented. I can appreciate both sides and neither one is easy, really depends on how you are working with.

1YOE medical device NPI Lead looking for salary perspective

Mechanical engineering grad, joined a medical device startup that I had done co-ops at. 8mo into full-time, pivoted from engineering into more of an operations role doing new product introduction (NPI), now with 3 direct reports.

The combination of startup+medical device+NPI seems very unique and I'm struggling to find salary comparables. Currently making 75k but it feels very low given my new responsibility and impact. Any advice?

I’ve been working a Boston based commercial lender for about 9 months as a credit analyst since leaving my relationship manager/portfolio manager role in agricultural lending. I’ve been presented with a portfolio analyst role they have created for me (was told not to apply for a PM role) . The offer is for $100k, is this reasonable? I feel like I have leverage due to underwriting 48% of the volume we have booked by myself and my team is 7 other analysts.
