Do you all think WFH (Work From Home) has helped or hurt work-life balance? In other words, does the information and data you consume support or admonish WFH in regards to productivity?

Additionally, have you noticed any negative reactions to people who choose to work from home? Like lack of opportunity, harsher reviews, or given more work?

Anyone know how to get a position as an HRBP without HRPB experience? All positions I've looked at want previous experience. Would over 5 years of HR experience and a PHR suffice, or what skills should be added to that?

In talks with A&M to come over to their TAG practice from EY FDD as senior associate. Base salary is very competitive on top of the alluring "bonus" structure. 2 questions:

1. Do they normally offer sign on bonuses?
2. Is their any disadvantage between A&M FDD compared to B4 FDD in terms of exit ops down the road? Trying to look 5 years down the line

I recently accepted a position with a new org. One of the benefits I asked about with offer was the parental leave policy and was told (in writing by HR) 16 weeks paid after 1 year, which is as good as you can hope for in US. Now I’ve been sent the employee handbook to review/sign and it says only 12 weeks, which is less than the org I’m leaving. What might my recourses be to negotiate 16 weeks when the time comes? Also, should I be viewing this is a red flag?

living at home with my parents and they both tested positive for covid this week. I haven’t felt so great this past week, and I’ve most probably caught it from them. Going to get tested tomorrow as well. That being said, we’re going into our heaviest week of busy season. I know I should be able to take time off cause of covid but I feel bad. Do you pay your credit cards in full every month?

I ask because I’ve let my credit spending get a bit lax since moving and adopting a puppy recently, so I haven’t been paying them off in full every month like I used to (though still well above the minimum payment, and keeping utilization at 30% or under). It got me thinking about how many people adhere to this advice.

For the people who went back to school to pursue a totally different career, what did you do for work? I don’t think I’d be able to do both my current job and school. I did retail in college and that probably isn’t so smart right now. Neither is working at a restaurant. I don’t think I can go back and live with my parents. I feel like I’m stuck.

My friend is a heavy pot smoker for 8 years and was just exposed to people who tested positive for covid. Is he going to need a ventilator? He’s losing his sh*t and I don’t know how to be helpful while he waits for test results
