Depends, do you feel like you'd be holding yourself back by being there 3 years?
What's the downside of staying the extra year for you?
You have to evaluate how good the bonus is, but it really depends on where you see yourself in the future, and if it's where you want to be.
For me it would be a deciding factor but it would not be the only one to make the decision. Can you talk to them and let them know that you want a 2 year contract?
No, that wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me. I would want to make sure the bonus is a good one, but I would be willing to commit to a 3-year contract if it means getting a good bonus.
If the bonus is good, as are the working conditions and everything included in the contract, of course. Don't you know anyone who has worked there who can give you an inside opinion of the place? That would certainly help you make a more informed decision.
It would depend on the specifics of the contract. Generally, I wouldn't want to be locked into a long-term contract, but if the bonus is really great, I might be willing to sign up for a shorter term.
