Well, for whatever it is worth, it is not you. I’m a citizen and I am experiencing the exact same thing. Outside of a few narrow areas in tech, the market is still rather dead.
Sanjay is also an Indian citizen.
Definitely not just yourself. I know it's hard not to get discouraged but there are thousands applying to the same positions with the large layoffs that have occurred.
I have 7+ years of experience in my field and am a US Citizen....was laid off 2 months ago and have applied to over 120 positions. Most of which reply the same automated "No" or have me go through 2-3 rounds of interviewing and then say the position is filled.
I've even seen some of my LinkedIn network posting they've applied to over 1,000 positions in their field to get less than 3 interview opportunities. It's rough in IT right now.
True. The ratio between no of open positions to no of candidates is very low I guess.
You need to work your network and not apply to a bunch of listings on Monster or Indeed. They get a commission per app so it’s in their best interest to push you through. Many of those jobs are front ended by a scanning AI tool that unless you tick every box you won’t be considered.
Find someone on LinkedIn that works in a company you are interested in. Ask them if they would sponsor you and get your resume in front of the hiring manager and skip HR and the bots. It’s a tough market right now and for the foreseeable future to be honest. Best of luck
Anthology inc is always hiring for something..... try them
A lot of people have been laid off lately, what's the reason for that?
