From my experience, you should still get a bonus, and it will most likely come from your old team. However, if the bonus is discretionary, it is very possible that your old team will not give you the fair amount since you left the team, the mgr would rather distribute more of the bonus pool to those that will be working for him in 2021. Leaving around bonus time is always very risky, unless you can negotiate your bonus ahead of time. Something you should definitely discuss with your old and new mgr.

Good that he was honest with you. But yeah, people don’t usually disclose that they are looking or leaving until after bonus is paid.

Same situation for me last year. I was compensated.

Looking for recommendations on how to best negotiate salary? I am interviewing for a new position that has already stated their range is $80-90k. I currently make $80k and I am not sure I’d be willing to leave my current role without a strong financial incentive. They have already said there is some room and with my experience that they would be willing to pay me more than what I’m making. Has anyone been successful with negotiating a salary higher than the companies initial stated range?

Hi Guys, Have 7 years of experience in IT. Just wondering to know if you've an offer from an employer with a Associate Manager Position but the company pay is less than what you earn now. Also, the next employer waited for 5-6 months and in those months your compensation went beyond their offer , what would you do in this situation? Would you negotiate with next employer? Question came in because the next position is Associate Manager but currently I'm working as an engineer. Any suggestions?
