I would like to find a way to tap into becoming a REALTOR who focuses or works the divorce market. I know it sound harsh but the idea is it will provide a stable income stream and I will have the potential to make 3 transactions as a result (the sell and 2 purchases). Any tips???? I plan on reaching out to divorce attorneys

Why not just be a regular realtor and get as many transactions as you can?

Not all divorces have homes involved, and not all divorces with homes require selling.

That is the goal but in the mean time my goal is to always create leads to keep business coming in. I have to view my business as a realtor as constantly going out of business. And because people are always getting divorces and some have property they need to sell the my services can help them and the attorneys through the process a lot faster as a neutral third party that does not have any ties to the divorcing couple.

like

I think you’d be hard pressed to get the leads you are hoping for with that strategy. But maybe I’m wrong 🤷‍♂️

helpful

Thank you. That is already in the works

Something to be said for developing a niche. As someone else mentioned, meeting divorce attorneys in your area might be a good place to start, if for no other reason than to understand the unique needs of the space. Good luck!

5 years post-MBA and all my classmates are VPs in industry or Principals in consulting/IB (some are even Partners/MDs already). I sat in the same classes with these folks for 2 years — probably outperformed some of them academically. Yet, here I am continuing to struggle with my student debt payments, hoping that “Uncle Joe” forgives 20% of it. I’ll never have that kind of earning potential because I didn’t come from the “right background” pre-MBA.

How much do you normally on average net when you sell a home? Looking to upgrade due to second kid on the way and I’m curious how much goes to fees, brokers, agents, etc. My current home is worth 325k per Zillow and my mortgage balance is 165k, so about 160k of equity. So if I sold it for what it’s worth at 325k, how much could I expect to net for my next home’s down payment? I see different answers online so anyone with experience would be great. Thanks.

For those of you in healthcare related account management, what is your healthcare background? I am clinical and getting ready to hire a higher level account manager. I am really biased toward people with clinical/in hospital experience because, quite frankly, healthcare is a different beast - lots of hand holding and change management. I don’t want to miss the right person because of my bias, so im wondering how many healthcare related AMs have healthcare/clinical experience… thanks in advance!

With my partner we are considering making a move to the countryside of Switzerland, with a gorgeous RE project offering incredible views on immaculate mountains and lake. However, it is far away, and will require 1h+ train/car commute vs. 10 min biking right now. We are scared it will bite us back at some point, although COVID helped w/ remote working being a new norm. The project will be done 2024, so I hope to have a more relax job by then.
