I’d like to be a vet, but I have dyslexia and am worried I won’t be able to keep up with my studies.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Believe that you can do it despite your condition. Always do things on your own pace and never compare yourself with the progress of others.

Don't worry too much because you are going to be fine. Don't feel pressured to be anything just to help with animals. It is more of a vocation for me than a job really.

I can tell that your heart is in the right place. You are on the right track. Hope you succeed with your dream.

Don't let dyslexia dictate your decisions. Be the one in charge. I'm sure you'll succeed. And as Vet Receptionist 1 has mentioned, I also think that your heart is in the right place.

Most universities have student support offices that can help students who struggle academically. Well, at least in my uni. I do know our university offered help for students with dyslexia. They can go to get extra help and get their homeworks/projects proof read.

Strategy and support. You'll have to find out your own strategies to work your way around it. Oh, and never be too shy to ask for and find support.

You'll never know unless you try. The more it scares you the more you should do it. That's one of the best ways to grow. I'm sure you'll make it. I'm rooting for you!

There is a long list of doctors who have dyslexia. If they can do it, you can too, OP! Maybe it would help if you read their stories just to get you started on your journey. Read Dr. Fred Jacob Epstein's story.

Has anyone had a Manager that does not work well with your ADHD? Im going through this right now and the way they communicate doesn’t match what I need. If I ask questions, they huff and puff. It’s sucks that I don’t have enough interest to continuously focus on the projects, but now I have even less motivation because I dread dealing with my manager.

Team just applied for a TS Clearance (defense agency). Trying to assess if it makes sense to wait till the clearance comes through (6 months to a year?) before I job hop. I'm hoping to get some clarity on the following:
1. Can my company withdraw or cancel my clearance if I leave right after I secure a TS?
2. In terms of compensation, how much value (% compensation) does a TS clearance have in the DC area? Places I'm considering: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data bricks, Appian etc.
Any advice, thanks!
