Strategy& vs. EY-Parthenon vs LEK? Pros and cons
Hi I’m a current Graduate student, hoping to get my foot in the door for Deloitte Healthcare Consulting, Accenture CDP, or EY specifically within Chicago Offices. Is there anyone open to connecting and speaking on their experience being hired? I have previous experience working prior to my degree so hoping to get insight on how I can best score an interview. If you’re also open to providing a referral that would be a bonus!

I wouldn't worry about it. Do whatever makes you comfortable. It shouldn't look bad or down on you if you don't want to be looking at yourself looking at a black screen that's looking back at you. Sometimes video can be distracting! Take notes instead.
I guess the same option is left to you. However, I think it shows earnestness on your part to have it open. Goodluck!

You either both have it on or both have it off is my thought here. The point of the camera is face to face conversation so if one is off, no need for yours to be on either.
Yes, it shows Confidence.
Use it as an opportunity to leave it off and keep notes on your screen
I want to say yes, but I've done an interview where the interviewer's camera was off. It felt unnatural and awkward seeing myself while also looking at the blank screen.
Well, if i were you , i would switch on. This is mainly because, when we communicate, our facial expressions and body reactions will add up to the stories we share. Sometimes, the answers you give, will be validated by the facial expressions and how you react to it. As it's live , it can build the confidence about you in the mind of recruiter/hiring manager. If i am confident about myself, done my homework and prepared, i will definitely switch on my video :)
Keep yours on. The recruiter is watching for lots of things during your interview including body language. I’ve done a similar interview, kept mine on and got the job.
I’ve had interviews like this and asked if they had a preference before deciding. Regardless of my choice, I usually offer some brief explanation (distracting to talk while staring at myself, I have something I want to be able to show on the camera, etc).
Just try to be natural about it and take it in stride.
Turn it on even if the recruiter has his/her camera off. It shows you're willing to do this small thing despite the fact that it is uncomfortable
I would just turn it on , but make sure your background is blurred or not distracting in any way .
