Just got a job at Deloitte M&A in Atlanta and am currently looking to buy a house. Would you advise I buy closer to Atlanta or the suburbs? I personally want to be in the suburbs but I hear the traffic situation is quite bad. Current consultants in Atlanta, how much time do you actually spend in the office vs remote vs client site? Would you advise I try and stay closer to the office?

Hello Everyone,
I am a fresher with over 9+ months of experience as a Data Engineer at Tata Consultancy .
I just needed some suggestions from you experienced folks.🙏
In my current project my colleagues have over 6+ years of experience and are not very supportive and scold me for unnecessary reasons, which is effecting my mental health.😔
Also I am not getting to learn anything.

This couldn’t be more broad
Depends on country, state, city, how much you contribute to benefits, withholding.
50-80 is a good guess
Go to paycheckcity and let it do the math onthe site. It lets you put in gross pay, paycheck frequency, state for taxes, % and flat rate contributions (which you can mark pre or post tax). It should get you very very close if you do it right.
If you can't work that out yourself how are you doing a job that pays 100k?
Not hired yet looking for jobs
And your taxes. Is this a serious question? Just look at your paystub and multiple
Depends on if you’re a man or woman. Women get the pink tax
@pwc2 cause women can always pull off pink and men are sometimes scrutinized for it. It’s unfair and honestly makes my blood boil: I love pink and as a man I should be able to wear it without being looked down upon. It was passed a while ago, look it up — pretty well known tax.
Depends how much you put into retirement and how much you pay for elected benefits...
$69K
not far off either
EY got the short end of the stick by hiring you lol 😂
It’s kind of amazing to me to see how you all bully someone for asking a question. So it might be a question they should be able to answer - you don’t have to demonstrate how nasty you can be by ridiculing someone trying to learn. So lucky I don’t have to work with you.
$3. Take it or leave it.
Can I get in touch with your recruiter?
Have we reached the point where we can’t figure stuff out on our own anymore?
Either way you put it ... you’re fucked after Uncle Sam gets his cut. Lol jk
Use a paycheck calculator online
Idk about you. But I take home about 62% of my paycheck. I use that multiple when figuring out future pay
Similar approach here. When I’m doing quick calculations in my head I assume I’m playing with 2/3 of the gross number.
Tax deduction -> 26 - 28% varies by city
Living in California. After maxing out 401k and various insurance payments, you’ll be around 60k +- 5-10k depending on other tax deductions you can make
$60-$70
Interesting
Works at EY - can’t figure out how much tax you pay - reeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
You really can’t do the math?
