I feel like we’ve given up.

This shouldn’t be news to people but it is.

It’s a bitmoji they’re asking about right? A lot of people are super quick to judge...what’s the context?
If you’re being creepy and saying, “hey who wants an invitation to my no pants party this weekend? [bitmoji in question]” you probably shouldn’t have done that.
If you said, “Thanks for the hard work this week and have a nice weekend. This is going to be me, sitting on the couch by 6:30 on the dot...[bitmoji in question]. Hope you all take some time to relax, too.” I think it’s not a big deal.
Depends on the note that went with it. Words are more much more important than a cartoon with its shirt off.
These people are killing levity and humor. You’re the ECD. Fire anyone who can’t handle a naked pixel cartoon and hire a better team who doesn’t take themselves so seriously. Don’t post any jobs here, obviously.
The rest of you, hit up performance marketing companies for jobs. You’ll love it there. Super grown up.
This is not my current title, I’m actually a VP, Director and I lead a strong, well respected team of PMs at my agency.
I have also seen 2 individuals get “laid off” recently because of harassment claims that were extremely minor. I had nothing to do with those claims, but it opened my eyes to how a new generation of employees behaves/reacts.
You seem like an emotionally immature individual who insults others to make your point. Doesn’t seem very creative to me. I’m just glad I don’t have to try to produce work with you. I think it’s time for an attitude adjustment if you run around dismissing people because of title, position or their ability to be comfortable with nudity in a work setting. It’s 2020, not 1950.
If you have to ask, I think you know the answer.
This
If my ECD did this I’d go to HR. Stop being weird. Your employees are not your friends— we’re looking to you for leadership and professionalism. What’s the purpose of sharing yourself in underwear? So weird you have to ask this...
He's not actually asking for help. He's doubling-down on being a creep. Creeps do that. Don't waste another minute on this. Leave him to his own HR department.
Yes
I have a squirtle as my photo in teams :)
Not so much for your coworkers. But definitely for the other bitmojis.
Doesn’t using bitmoji at all classify as a abuse?
Yes. This I agree with. The guy is unimaginative and lame.
It also makes people think of NOT your bitmoji in underwear and I have a guess people don’t really want that image.
Wtf yes?! Don’t force people to picture you naked! Agh.
Why do people ask these kinds of questions? How hard is it for you to clothe a bitmoji? Also why use one on slack at all? I hate that they made that a feature, and I hate that I now know it’s a feature
OMG, do you guys hear yourselves? Seriously if you have to ask, it’s probably wrong in today’s environment, does that make it right? No. Does that make it wrong? No. Only you know what your context is.
The world is way too uptight, if everyone got over the superiority, sexist, racist game, and realized we were all just human the world would be a much better place.
Grow together, not apart.
Depends. Is HR in your slack channel? If so, you’re in trouble.
The bitmoji wasn’t doing anything suggestive. Just not dressed.
Yes
Yes. Put on some pants!
Yes
Depends on the copy that goes with it. Obviously an unclothed Bitmoji is visually provocative. So maybe play the copy a little straighter and you’d be golden.
Context matters... :)
