I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

The answer is both. Get the seadweller now, since the prices will continue to go up, and then add the IWC when you’re ready. If you don’t bond with the seadweller, you can likely sell it with no penalty or trade it for the IWC.

SD is more versatile, the IWC is a nicer watch. If I’m building a two watch collection I choose the IWC plus a Seiko diver. If I can only own one watch I choose the Rolex.

Fun fact, I used to own a Portugueser (Why? Because of course I did. I also used to drink a lot...haha, but that’s unrelated). It is truly a stunning watch with an impressive movement. There is a Gen 1 and a Gen 2 version though, so make sure you know what you’re looking at.
Gen 1 had one massive main spring to achieve the 7-day power reserve, which led to it being inconsistent from an accuracy perspective (fast when fully wound, and slow when running out of power). The new movement uses a double barrel design to improve the consistency of the accuracy.
I had a Gen 1, but that’s not why I sold it. I learned I prefer bracelets, but also the watch’s large size was in conflict (to my eye) with its very elegant design. I could never decide if it was a dress watch or a casual watch, and I rarely wore it because it seemed to straddle the weird middle ground (which my Yachtmaster admittedly falls into sometimes).
You just need to try it on and decide if it’s right for you. The Seadweller is much more versatile, but it’s not without its own quirks: tall case, jenky bracelet and clasp (relative to a modern Rolex), much older movement that may need servicing, etc.

Haha, it became a problem...but it led to this bowl, so who knows what’s good or what’s bad.
I have both -well actually a sub and the 7 day Portuguese. I love both watches but I would still lean towards the IWC. Why you ask?
1). Too many people wearing rolexes and less ppl I see with IWC
2) I feel the Port 7day is their staple and popular watch and a great one too
3) I love the look and is both dressy and casual in my eyes. Perhaps slightly thicker watch to wear under cuffs
4) I love the back of the watch. Absolutely gorgeous looking!
5) the reason for going for rolex is it’s value and hard to obtain which I understand but can find a good price in the secondary market for iwc

Rolex is more versatile if it’s going to be your only watch. IWC would be a great second watch, though I prefer the blue hands/markers version.

If I could only choose 1, IWC. SeaDweller just too thick for me and I love the Port.
Disclosure: I own the port chrono with blue markers and hands. My Rolex is a blue DJ36
I like D1s idea to take advantage of the crazy Rolex market but personally I think the IWC is a much more beautiful watch so that’s my preference
I’d take the IWC, but D1’s strategy sounds like the only right answer here
