Never lend money to a coworker. They can borrow from a online lender
No.
And it’s out of line for a coworker to ask for a loan.
I don’t lend. I give what I’m comfortable with or I decline.
I would only ever lend money to family or very close friends
Also with the expectation that they will not pay the money back, and I have to be comfortable with that before lending any amount
No. Report him to HR for even asking, then take his job and enjoy the raise.
Yikes ^
Nope don’t do it. Only close friends and family with the expectation that they may not give it back (so it’s more a gift)
This. I'm only lending money to people that I care about enough that if they were to not be able to pay me back, it wouldn't hurt our relationship.
It depends on the nuances of your relationship, but I'm general I'd say it's a bad idea.
Never lent to a coworker but I’ve lent money to friends. One paid back and two stopped initiating contact with me even though I’ve never bugged them to pay it back 🤷🏻♂️
She was. She left a good paying job she hated to start over with something that she enjoyed doing and needed help with covering living expenses since the new job paid a lot less.
No. Never.
nope
I’d never loan a co-worker money. I’ve loaned family members money quite a bit over the years, probably close to $20k between 2 sisters and their children. Been burned several times, which was expected. But it ALWAYS impacted the relationship- even if it was “why are you buying a new dress or going out to lunch etc.” when that money could have been used to pay me back. “You can’t go home again”
