If you’ve worked with Slalom consultants before what is the vibe you got? Advice on working with them/their culture? I’m having an awful experience managing one right now. Super nice person but work quality is horrible. Doesn’t do tasks without prodding and multiple reminders, quality is bad, straight up not doing their work sometimes with bad excuses and a smooth talker. I used to respect slalom and wanted to work for them. Is this normal or a one off? Is there a missing cultural link??

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
