I’m a 6th year in litigation, and I have a toddler and a baby. I am on reduced hours now, but it still feels too unpredictable and unsustainable. I’ve been thinking about taking time off and doing freelance/contract work to supplement our household income so I can be with my kids more. Has anyone ever done anything like that? Would love to hear any experiences.

Currently have a 5th grade girl who is struggling with classroom behaviors and choices. When questioned, she says she wants to be a boy, but her parents won’t allow it. Obviously, she is struggling with more than making good choices at school. Her parents are very kind and appreciative of all we do for their child, but they are also clearly struggling with this. Anyone ever been in a similar situation or have some advice on how we can best support the student?

Working at a hospital with a million programs and services. When is developing an independent brand for a group justified, and when should it remain part of the parent brand?

I'm hoping to make some money and really get the word out there about my business during the holiday season. Is it a good idea to participate in farmers' markets/holiday markets if you have a small amount of inventory right now but want to get the word out? Or should I just focus on marketing and creating more (I sell seasoned salts, herbs, jams, and preserves + occasionally fresh bread or baked goods) until I'm ready for more orders?

My wife works at a school with kids with behavioral issues. The kids are abusive to the teachers/paras and have hit, kicked, pulled hair, as well as have grabbed the privates of teachers/paras. Nothing is ever done about it by higher up. Recently, the principal got kicked in the leg, and it turns out that the superintendent is “pressing charges” against the kid, but won’t do anything for the teachers/paras. What actions can my wife and the teachers take if the superintendent won't do anything?

They specifically told her that they have strict policies and need complete commitment and you are not fit for the current role owing to your health.
