I’m a current intern for Deloitte hired as a “solutions engineer”, thinking of it as a software eng. role. It’s more similar to the analyst/consulting role than I thought, but I knew basically nothing about consulting prior to starting this job. Not a bad thing though because I’m liking the idea of being a consultant. However I am thinking of taking a full time offer at a diff. engineering comp due to concerns w work life balance, could anyone tell me how their WLB as an entry level analyst. Ty

I am happy to take on the additional role for my company, and they are going to let me. But they feel that without multiple people in a sales department the title head of sales might not be the best title. I have input in what my updated position title and salary would be. I am feeling lost in job. So I’ve applied for Accounts payable they offered 40k. I said why not to gain some experience. I didn’t even bother negotiating which I regret.
Fast forward I noticed that I was eventually handed everyone’s workload (AR & imports & duty and check coworker work + AP) Spoke to them about pay increase based on workload. So they raised it to 55k.. but I still feel underpaid based on the amt of work I do. I don’t know what my title or what to put on resume..

Is IT Audit a fruitful career in terms of salary and overall enjoyment? I am very unsure on what I want in a future career but have an internship in IT Audit that I wanted to see what I could use that as a springboard to get into moving forward. Data analytics and IT consulting have been two options I’ve been interested in. Thoughts?

I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.

I’m struggling to find a full time job right now. I have 16 months of internship experience at a Big4, a 4 month internship at a well known bank and a 12 month internship at a boutique consulting firm.

My gpa is subpar (3.2/4.0) but I have strong extracurriculars and have been working full time while taking full time classes.

Any advice on what I can do to land a solid fu time offer?
