My job application status in portal says it is under review since one month but I haven't recieved any calls or mails. Does it mean I am still in consideration or they have put my candidature on hold?

You are under paid and over worked. Update your book and leave. Whats holding you back? Also if you’re going to an awesome place take me with you.
Headquarters is NY based, but have global offices and MUCH of our workforce has been moved to cheaper markets the last few years with lots of layoffs in NY…I’m kinda in a last man standing situation. Problem is, I’m a valuable workhorse (at least I think I am) but I don’t touch the sexy stuff, so my book isn’t great (I do mostly video work, much of it to win new biz, PR, comms, awards, etc…) so feel like I can’t leave, and I do actually like it here for the most part. I think if I threatened to leave, they would honestly give me the money I want…but I don’t want to risk it. I’m up in the Boston area now and work fully remotely and the market isn’t great here and I don’t want to go into an office ever again lol. What do you think I could ask for though, if I were to try to get more money (given what I just said).
Publicis1…yeah, it’s weird, I know! I manage a department that services the whole agency and every client.
230 seems real low for a GCD, especially ny
You WFH!?! Then your costs of working in NYC are negligible. If you had a 3-day in office policy you would have to pay commuting etc. but you don’t. So I’d say you’re pretty fairly paid.
Coach
Working until 1-2am everyday and being “always on” is not right. You need better work life balance. It’s not about salary - it’s about boundaries and proper workload.
I made less than that as a GCD in pharma (which typically pays a lot higher). Still got laid off when client projects died because they couldn't afford to put me on other projects. While I know others may make more money, working from home is a huge perk not too many get anymore. And the market is tough right now...so I guess I would dig in to the root of your unhappiness. Is the company, culture, and people? If yes, get out. Or is it the work-life balance? If so, is there any way to delegate more responsibility to others so you can find more balance?
Thank you for your response and thoughtful questions. I like the work and I delegate as much as I can, but we are working with such a skeleton crew these days, that there just isn’t enough staff to delegate any more to. Problem is, leadership just says yes to everything and doesn’t strategically prioritize what work is most important. There is very little roadmapping and everything comes in as a last minute fire, despite my department’s continuous effort to stay on top of it and do forecasting. Lots of last minute asks coming in late on a Thursday/Friday and due on Monday with little chance to properly staff up…but even when we scramble to, there is still need for oversight.
Agency or inhouse?
What kind of hours you talking?
I make more as a cd. You need a new gig.
Thank you for the openness. Appreciate it.
