Some context: I'm currently in the midst of my onboarding program and working towards my certification. Originally, we hadn't planned to have our wedding so soon. However, due to my brother receiving a military deployment overseas, we want to ensure he and my sister-in-law can be present. As a result, we're moving up the wedding to just 2 weeks from now. I'm concerned about taking too many days off as a new team member, especially since I haven't made substantial contributions yet.
Is your team aware of your family situation?
Be upfront with your team. If your manager is any good, then he/she will completely understand. It’s 1.5 days not 2 weeks lol.
