I'm coming up to my 8th year in the sound department. And with the drastic ups and downs that has hit our industry in these past years, COVID, the strikes, and now. I just don't know where or what I can do to pivot. I'm only 27, and I have been very fortunate in keeping myself afloat by working solely in this industry but now I'm feeling stuck because all my work experience has been in film. I really hope things change for the better all of us who have worked so hard not to let our dreams die.

In Texas & my CPA CPE hrs are due this month. The corona virus has really impacted my work/plan to finish them and I’m worried I won’t get them done. Anyone know anything about possible extensions?

Holiday Season - at my former company, around this time of year I would have already gotten a ton of gift baskets etc. - not something I would ever take home but open up for the team and leave out. I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory).
