I am making this post because I am seeking employment. I have a vast amount of experience in a wide variety of fields & a knack for learning new skills quickly. I would gladly send you my resume to aid my search. Currently, I am writing my dissertation & will complete my PhD by Dec. 2021. I would appreciate any referrals to job leads anyone offers. I'd wait until you're back, catch them in personal and have a normal conversation then say smth casual "thanks so much for catching xyz by the way, I'll definitely make sure I spend extra time having a once over before I leave for PTO next time!" Throw in a sorry if you feel like they'd appreciate it rather than hold it against you, I know some managers take apologies as confessions of fault...
Either way, I'd say acknowledge it and make it clear that it will never happen again. Good luck!
1. Don't check emails on pto
2. Thank your boss for catching what you missed
3. Catch it next time
4. Calm and believe in yourself, you'll be fine 😊
