I'm extremely scared and feeling stuck about a possible AI bubble popping.

I currently have a job and I disagree with a lot of ways my company have been implementing AI. Because of that, I think AI bubble burst would hit it pretty hard.

On the other end, I've been failing at job hunting for months. And I'm also scared to actually pass to a company and then being laid off when the AI bubble burst.

Is anyone else feeling stuck like this? Any tips?

Seems like every company is embracing AI one way or another. However, a lot of CEOs are already experiencing the AI hangover now they they've seen the bill. At my current job they want to inject AI into everything but then we're getting a slap on the wrist for using too many tokens. Can't have it both ways! Something's got to give. Not sure how severe this AI bubble burst is going to be but at the very least there's going to be an AI recession.

Anyway, to your situation, if you think your job is reasonably stable and you're not miserable I'd just stay there. You know what they say about the grass being greener.

Yeah, and I'm even alright with embracing AI one way or another. And yeah, mine was also trying to inject AI into everything. Not only that but I'm seeing my company as being less and less stable. Clients (business) leaving left and right.

So that is why I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place.

You have to keep learning and developing. Sure maybe it’ll burst, so keep learning and be at the front of the next wave. There’s always something next.
