Anyone want to sell me their CFE books ?
So I am a CFE and I recently switched to a new organization that doesn’t provide CPE trainings regularly each year like my old firm. CFE requires 20 CPEs per year plus a membership fee & I don’t think
What are your go-to resources for CFE CPE?
*Financial Services forensics/AML/Sanctions/etc Consultants* what certifications (beyond CAMS and CFE) do you have/are you thinking about getting?
Interested in moving from audit to forensics. Have two years of audit experience and will have my CPA and CFE. Is it possible to make the switch and any tips?
Does EY pay for the CFE exam and Review course?
Cram studying for CFE. Is it recommended to study for one test and take one at a time, or study for all and take the 4 on the same day?
I recently passed the CFE and was looking into the CAMS next. Any suggestions on how to best prepare for the CAMS? I’ve been mostly reviewing the index cards that come with the prep material.
Tips on studying for the CFE?
Started studying for the cfe. My firm gave us resources to use to prep for the exams. So far, I'm scoring pretty low compared to my peers on the practice exams. Any advice on what to do?..Kinda scared
If anyone wants to study for the CFE but doesn’t want to pay the full price for the study materials and would be interested to split it, please DM me
Any auditors in here get their CFE after you already passed your CPA? Did your firm pay you more for it?
Is it possible to knock out the CFE exam in thirty days? Trying to knock this out before busy season
Considering going for the CFE. What was your study plan for it and how long did it take?
Has anyone tried to get their CFE? Any advice? How was studying compared to CPA?Swore I’d never take another exam again after the CPA but if CFE isn’t too much work to study for it might be worth it.
Mid-level litigator. I have accepted an offer for a top litigation shop but I am still waiting on conflicts. I have started preparations to move to the new city but no contracts yet. A top corporate shop that I applied to several months ago reached out for an interview. The firm is in a different city than the offer I’ve accepted, but long term I really want to be in the corporate firm’s city. Ultimately I want to go in-house. Take the interview right? Cont.
Looking to buy 92,000 Hilton points to upgrade my honeymoon room in Cabo 😊 Message me if you’d be willing to help out!
MBB helps their employees find an exit opp via alumni connections and an internal job search. Why doesn’t Big 4/ACN/IBM do that? It’s looked down upon to say you are interested in leaving.
Having a hard time figuring out where to buy a long term house. We both work in the city, and have a kid. We want decent space (is a yard too much to as for?), good schools, nice town, walking distance to the train. Yes - I’m hoping unicorns do exist. So far something like Bronxville and Scarsdale seem like good options. Open to checking out other towns in any region as long as the commute to Bryant park is close to an hour. Any suggestions?
Hello folks, wanted your input on EY UK Vs EY Ireland Vs Deloitte Middle east. (Finance transformation/GBS). All three offering a Manager role.
I got 7 interviews deep for a role in-house at a company that I'd really like to work for. They said they'd keep me in mind for future openings in the department. It's been 4 months and I haven't heard about any opening roles. They do have a role that is tangentially related to my skill-set (would be a stretch for me, but maybe in a good way?), but I'm concerned that shooting for this and missing might reflect badly for an opening that would be more in my wheelhouse. Thoughts?
Panicking and need some guidance. Currently on a project where I serve a SME for a specific system for overall gap analysis across modules. CAL however has somehow looped me into leading discussions in areas I have no experience in. Fortunately there is time to buffer and align expectations on Monday. How could I convey being extremely uncomfortable with leading the discussion and also save face? Only caught wind of what was actually happening when I digged into the invites provided
1. We should wait until the results of the IRS audit to know the full picture 2. The IRS have been very unfair to the President 3. Why is the NYT releasing this information now? Why not six months ago? 4. All this shows is that President Trump knows how to outsmart the IRS like any billionaire 5. President Trump donates his salary 6. He had a loss in 2016 because of the terrible Obama economy 7. Sleepy Joe has dementia!
What exit opportunities exist for international arbitration? I don’t want to litigate, and am a non-American so government jobs (which seem to be what my colleagues are exiting into) aren’t an option for me. I don’t ever see myself making partner (nor do I want to), and I feel totally stuck.
Hi Folks, Do you guys know, if Accenture is going to discontinue ATCI skill bonus in near future? TIA
Hi fishes! What is the manual tester- consultant salary range in deloiTte USI for 4.8 to 5 YOE? Thanks :)
Received an offer from McKinsey & Company and am super stoked to join, but I’m getting quite criticized in my personal life for the decision mostly because of the public image of the firm. I get where they’re coming from, but figured most of the consulting industry was like this, not just McKinsey, and strategy work is what really interests me. Any tips on how to deal with it?
Need advice! I have been for Acn for very long but resigned recently. I have not started on the new job yet. I felt happy when I accepted the new job. Recently, anxiety is creeping up on me. Self doubts like Have I made a wrong decision to quit? Maybe I should have waited for the performance bonus? Will the new job be too tough for me to handle? What if the new work culture is bad? What if I do not excel in the new company? Maybe I should retract my resignation?LOL Continued in the comment...
Is 1850 billable hours in a major market that much busier than 1850 in a non-major market? Specifically for litigation
Anyone here part of the Workday practice at Deloitte and willing to share info on the culture/people, pipeline, bench and expected salary for an experienced consultant?...(cont)
Consulting vets, normal? I was lured into consulting and lost benefits due to the challenging transformation program being right up my alley. I have a multi year contract with heavy director duties promising fast track to Sr leadership. Day 1 I find out Iead no one and the MD is in charge. A few months later I get involved in spending nights and weekends for 3 weeks making a 60+ page deck. Company wins part of the contract and hires 12 more. Since then I have been ignored by them. No bonus!
