I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

I was in similar boat, took me 15 months to find something. Just be patient and keep looking.
Chin up. Talk to recruiters, search for director level roles even if they’re remote. I’ve seen director level roles for Facebook lately... technical accounting at least

Not too late. You may not get a 20% pay increase but you should be able to get equivalent pay in industry. It's slow right now due to covid but your skills are sought after...assuming audit or tax
I just accepted a director role in industry after an embarrassing number of years as a senior manager in tax. It may take a bit longer to find a position, simply because there aren’t as many positions at this level - but they are out there and the comp was competitive.
Similar story for me
This is why I’m convinced the best time to leave PA is in the late senior/early manager timeframe.
Disagree..it depends on what group you are in. For example, if you are in Risk Advisory. Get out ASAP
Huh? I did 3 years as SM and just left a couple months ago. Found something with a month of looking.
I’m confused can’t a senior manager in audit at PwC exit to positions like controller or CFO?

What LOS are you in?
What do you mean? Like your salary is now too high for a clean exit?
I can’t speak for KPMG, but I feel like the non-technical skills you learn as you grow in the firm position you well for a leadership position in industry. Yeah you’re going to need some technical skills related to your new role, but those soft skills are going to be even more important if you’re leading a team. Just thinking that if you feel like you’re technical skills are limited to one thing, you might rethink how you can apply your other skills.
I’m with PWC3 as I just did something very similar to what KPMG2 says can’t be done and I know others who have done similar.
I went through the same situation. Decided to go to a local firm and took a pay cut to do it. Love it though because I work 300-400 hours less a year.
Same...took a while and had to take a pay cut but proved myself and salary back on target and bonus way better than ever at big 4. Oh way less hours and stress too!!
