Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

Listen to music that lifts up, whatever that may be. If you don't like music then try to get out after work and be social or spend time with your family. If the environment is toxic then detoxing is a major priority!
I find going for a run in the mornings lifts my spirits immeasurably. It's got nothing to do with ads and afterwards I feel like I've accomplished something.
I had to lay off the post-modern memes. Gotta agree with finding things that will lift your state of mind in a positive way
+1 for adding exercise to your routine. Also work on having a life outside the office. It gives you perspective
Bad leadership, micromanaging, etc. Now I not only hate my job, but I feel disconnected from my coworkers too and it's making me miserable. Job hunting but that takes time of course. What are some mental tricks that help keep your spirits up when everything feels tough?
